Family Days in Ban Tha Ton (W / Camp Fire)

Arrival in Chiang Mai

Arrive in Chiang Mai by air or train and transfer to Suan Bua Resort on the scenic Samoeng Loop. Relax around the spacious grounds, enjoy a swim, play tennis, or indulge in the spa.

In the evening choose either:

Option 1: Early set dinner followed by a campfire.

Option 2: Visit Chiang Mai Night Bazaar with dinner at your own expense.

Overnight: Suan Bua Hotel & Resort or similar

Chiang Mai → Ban Tha Ton

Transfer to Ban Tha Ton with visits to the Orchid & Butterfly Farm and Chiang Mai Snake Farm. Rest stops are made at Chiang Dao Hill Resort and Chaiprakarn before arriving at Ban Tha Ton.

Check into Mae Kok River Village Resort. Optional buffet lunchis available at the Spice Garden Restaurant. The afternoon is free to enjoy the resort facilities.

Resort Activities or River Adventure

Option 3.1: Relax at the resort or join one of numerous optional activities including golf, trekking, mountain biking, canoeing, rafting, 4WD expeditions, cooking classes, massage, meditation, and GPS navigation courses.

Option 3.2: Join a two-day rafting expedition. Visit Shan and Akha villages before boarding customized river barges at Ban Pha Tai Black Lahu village.

Enjoy rafting through beautiful scenery and gentle rapids, picnic lunch by the river, optional canoeing, and a short trek to a Musur village before reaching the river base camp.

Accommodation is in bamboo bungalows overlooking the river. Enjoy a BBQ dinner followed by drinks around the campfire.

Rafting, Elephant Safari & Golden Triangle

After breakfast continue rafting through gorges and remote hilltribe villages. Stop at natural hot springs before taking a 1.5-hour elephant safari through the surrounding jungle.

After lunch choose one of the following:

Option 4.1: Visit Mae Sai border market and continue to the Golden Triangle before transferring to Chiang Rai Airport for your evening flight.

Option 4.2: Guests remaining at Mae Kok River Village Resort may rejoin the group via scheduled transfers.
